Tulintech becomes Komax Tunisia
Inside Komax
The Komax Group has strengthened its presence in Tunisia and further optimized its global sales and service network through the acquisition of the Alcava Group in 2023. The team at the Sousse site is being reinforced and expanded so that customers in the Maghreb state can be served even better in future. In addition, Tulintech has changed its name to Komax Tunisia, as announced by Imed Guesmi, Managing Director North Africa.
With the acquisition of Alcava SAS in October 2023, the former Schleuniger sales and service partner consisting of the companies Lintech in France, Malintech in Morocco and Tulintech in Tunisia, the Komax Group has further optimized its global service network. Particular attention has been paid to expanding market activities in Tunisia. As the country is strategically located between Africa and Europe, it is of interest to the supplier industry in the automotive, aerospace and industrial sectors. Labor is inexpensive but has a good level of education and the government offers various incentives to foreign investors, including subsidies, tax breaks and support for infrastructure development. To promote research and development in the automotive sector, for example, Tunisia has created various technology centers, including the Mecatronic cluster in Sousse, which currently brings together around 100 companies and institutions in key areas of IT, mechanics, electrics and electronics. Tunisia is currently home to over 260 companies in the automotive supplier industry and over 370 in the electrical and electronics industry. Furthermore, the Maghreb state is one of the top 3 exporters of automotive components in Africa.
Even closer to customers with Komax Tunisia
With its company Tulintech in Sousse, 150 kilometers south of the capital Tunis, the Komax Group served all customers with the entire product portfolio of machines, automation solutions as well as spare and wear parts. “Tulintech recently changed its name to Komax Tunisia,” explains Imed Guesmi, Managing Director North Africa. “The Komax Group and its products have been well-known in Tunisia for decades and are highly valued by our customers. The renaming will make it even clearer for our customers as to where they can refer their questions about Komax Group products and how to order them.”
Komax Testing Tunisia remains the point of contact for testing systems to ensure the quality of processed cables. “In order to offer optimal sales and service support for Komax Group products in Tunisia, the team has been reinforced and will soon be expanded with additional experts and specialists,” continues Imed Guesmi. “Thanks to growing team of Komax Tunisia, we can respond quickly to the needs of our customers and guarantee short response times and efficient support.”
