Evoltec: Komax’s customer proximity boosted in new showroom

Inside Komax

Komax, to whom customer proximity is crucial in the race for success, received a much-appreciated boost in the shape of Polish partner Evoltec’s new showroom, which will soon be complemented by online demonstrations.

Key insights

  • Evoltec has been Komax’s representative in Poland and Lithuania for more than 10 years.

  • In 2020, Evoltec opened a new showroom in Warsaw.

  • This flagship location provides Komax with an excellent product showcase.

  • In response to the current pandemic, online demos will soon be available as well.

  • Through Evoltec, Komax is now closer than ever to its customers in that region.

Evoltec has a new showroom in Warsaw. There is more to this seemingly commonplace bit of news than meets the eye. Because this is no ordinary showroom. Just as Komax and Evoltec’s relationship is no ordinary relationship. Their business ties go back more than 10 years, and over that period, Evoltec has proven to be a strong and committed representative and distributor for all of Poland and Lithuania.

Act global, showcase local

So, in 2020, when Evoltec completely refurbished its Warsaw HQ, including its showroom, this also meant a great new opportunity for Komax to showcase its products to the local, i.e. Polish and Lithuanian, customers, especially in difficult times such as these. Tomasz Pawłowski, Evoltec’s General Manager, gives his personal account of how the new showroom came about, and what it means for Komax:

“We embarked on an ambitious plan to transform our public presence here in 2018, long before anyone had even heard of COVID. But when we opened our new showroom in the middle of last year, the COVID crisis was happening. That is why we are using the lockdown to transform the way we present Komax machines to potential customers.

Soon, a customer will be able to book an online demonstration – see a Komax machine in action, talk to our team about its specific benefits and discuss its new distinguishing features. And they can enjoy a comprehensive live training and maintenance/support session. This new virtual showroom has turned out to be a real advantage. Thanks to its display possibilities and flexibility, we will be able to demo and explain each machine more quickly and cheaply than before the crisis. Our first trials of the system make us confident that this will be very popular.”

All the benefits of the virtual realm notwithstanding, being close to the customer in real life remains a high priority at Evoltec. Tomasz Pawłowski explains: “You know, we’ve built our reputation through our strong personal relationships with customers. We don’t intend to lose that all-important part of our approach. So, we are looking at how best to complement these virtual sessions with in-person demonstrations of the Komax machines. We want customers to see and feel for themselves just how powerful and well-designed they are. That is why, later this year, and the COVID situation permitting, we are aiming to use the showroom as a base for a new in-house show, bringing together Komax product managers and potential customers to share ideas and discuss in detail how Komax machines can make a real difference. The new connected machines with their workflow and live production information make a great impression, particularly as today’s Industry 4.0 market is all about fast, clever customization and connectivity.”

More coming soon…

Evoltec is keen to build on this excellent new foundation. The showroom will soon be extended to include a fully automatic Zeta 640 with the latest features, including a tube-marking module (designed for cabinet builders) and other brand-new digital products. “Komax’s support while we’ve been setting up our new showroom has made a real difference,” emphasizes Tomasz Pawłowski. “We are positioning ourselves for the next 10 years of outstanding results and future industry challenges.”

As we said at the beginning of this article, this is no ordinary showroom. Because the relationship between Komax and Evoltec is no ordinary relationship. All the better for both companies.
