Resistance welding of aluminium and copper connections in the vehicle electrical system and power distribution

Our innovative solutions enable a secure and long-term stable connection between aluminium and copper without intermetallic phases and thus allow the connection of:

  • Cu terminals (BusBars) and Cu cables with ALU-BusBars
  • ALU-strands to (HV) contacts

Our connections guarantee min. contact resistance, high retention forces and space efficiency.


Welding of flex busbars

Flex busbars, otherwise known as flexible HV connectors, are used to compensate for tolerances in the field of power distribution. They consist of foil layers with a thickness of 0.05 mm to 1 mm in any number or of braids in the desired cross-sections. In both variants, the ends are welded over large areas of up to 1,000 mm2 in fractions of a second without direct cooling.
