Survival strategies in control cabinet construction: Webinars, 11 and 18 May 2022
Technology & Innovation
Small and medium-sized manufacturers of control cabinets are coming under increased cost pressure. Their products are often more expensive than those provided by their larger competitors because smaller players still produce a lot of components by hand. As the biggest time factor, wiring takes up around half of the production time. A study by the University of Stuttgart has shown this.
A lot has happened in this area in recent years. Today, there are machine and software solutions with which even small and medium-sized manufacturers with a more modest investment budget can launch into automation – and even utilize full automation for economical just-in-time production, from a batch size of 1.
We will present several strategies in the following two webinars:
Webinar 1: Time-consuming control cabinet wiring:
Solutions for greater efficiency
In the specialist webinar entitled Control Cabinet Engineering by TeDo-Verlag, we showcase a wide range of approaches to automation solutions that help you reduce the overall wiring effort by up to 80%, even for smaller quantities and a limited budget. The presenter is René Lehn, Application Specialist Data2Wire at Komax
Date: 11 May 2022, 11:00–12:00 (German)
Webinar 2: Smart cabinet building:
Entry into fully automated wire assembly – the new Zeta 620
The main focus here is the Zeta 620, the latest machine from Komax for fully automated, sequential wire production. It produces entire wire sets and places the wires sorted and labeled. It is uncompromisingly designed to meet the requirements and budget of smaller manufacturers of control cabinets. Efficient data preparation is another important topic. The speaker is Cornel Durrer, Manager Market Segment Industrial at Komax.
